As a graduate from the University of Guelph, Bachelor of Science in Nutritional and Nutraceutical Sciences major, Kyra is a certified Nutritionist with a strong science background.of Science in

Kyra has been passionate about health and nutrition for her entire life. With a love of cooking, Kyra often experiments in the kitchen to find new and exciting ways of incorporating healthy foods into every day meals. With a strong scientific background, Kyra has training in sports & exercise nutrition, regulation of human metabolism, control of metabolic diseases, micro-nutrients, phytochemicals, human physiology, food toxicology, pharmacology, nutrition supplements and much more.  The Nutritional and Nutraceutical Sciences major develops an understanding of the contribution of food, beverage and nutritional supplement consumption to growth, development of optimal biological function, maintenance of health, and treatment of disease.

Kyra has worked with a variety of clientele with varying nutritional needs ranging from lactose intolerance to Prader-Willi Syndrome diets that require special care. Kyra has worked with both large and small groups, individuals, and in a camp/retreat setting at Shadow Lake Centre, a camp for people with special needs. With a strong background in science, Kyra knows not only what foods are good, but why they are good for you. Kyra is able to make basic dietary recommendations, as well as severe diet overhauls with complete menus and meal plans.
